Leadership at OPS
At the end of each year, candidates for the position of Leaders are nominated from the Year 5 classes. A final twenty-four candidates are selected by grade peers. An election is held and the students from Years 3 to 6 vote to elect twelve representatives (six girls and six boys) to form the SRC. The boy and girl student that receives the highest number of votes in the election become the School Captains and the runner up boy and girl become the Vice-Captains. They hold their positions for twelve months in which time they stand as student models and assist in organisational matters. Elected Prefects, House Captains, Junior AECG Captains and Music Captains are also members of the SRC. Each year they participate in a Leaders Conference & Peer Support Program.
